Reading this reminded me of the time I finally decided to confront a long‑standing fear of public speaking. I had been avoiding any opportunity to present at work for years, convinced that every audience would see right through my nerves. Then a colleague nudged me into a small workshop, and I stumbled through the first few minutes, heart pounding and voice shaking.
